From the talented minds of Cormac McCarthy & Ridley Scott

We posted the first teaser trailer for The Counselor back in June — the upcoming thriller written by the peerless Cormac McCarthy (he of The Road and No Country For Old Men) and directed by the occasionally great but spotty Ridley Scott. The Counselor is notable as it’s McCarthy’s first spec screenplay, which means he wrote it with a film in mind — not in his usual narrative novel form — which promises its own unique voice. The film tells the story of an unscrupulous lawyer (played by Michael Fassbender) who gets involved with a dangerous drug trafficking clique, and is understandably stuffed with All Star talent including Javier Bardem, Brad Pitt, Penélope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, John Leguizamo, Rosie Perez and Natalie DormerPerfectly slotted for Oscar Season consideration, The Counselor will be released on October 23, 2013. This is the first official international trailer.
